Ontario, Canada I would check the battery first. with that many error codes at once it sounds like a battery problem. CO are the drive transistors ,C9 are the drive contacts and A7 is the seat switch. let me know Rich from Canada

Meanwhile you have to know what type of system is mounted, there are 3 types, the one common mistake is A7 which appears when you go down from the cart and is linked to the brake lever and parking micro deadman.

It seems "C0" error code for electric forklift has something to do with the card? It there a chance to fix it?possible to by pass this error? it happens by the time the battery charger was plug-in while the forklift switch is on. pls. someone can share some knowledge.

Ontario, Canada In the back electrical panel behind the cards there are 3 rectangular transistors check those 3 should be infinite one way and contnuity the other way. also check the copper bus bars by the contactors let me know how it goes Rich

At the moment the forklift is down due to "c0" error.
We have found the cause of the error...your right it's the IGBT power thyristors.
the bus bars are well ok. I'll keep you posted about this matter once solve while waiting for the parts. Many thanks Mr. Rich K.

Hi Mr. Rich K.
I have replaced brand new Transistors but still the error C0 appears. Can you suggest what other factors causing this error?

What is the main reason for having C0 error code?
We are still not sure if we replaced the defective carbon spring the c0 will not appear anymore.
If you can suggest what other area we have to check so that we can do the
thorough troubleshooting in one time.
Thanks in advance, Mr. Rich

Ontario, Canada you have said that you replaced the 3 transistors already. I have had them show a co code. also check the contactors and the copper bus bars below the contactors. check the connectors then let me know Rich

Irl, Ireland As a new member Iwould like thank all the technicians that take the time to help other fello tech,s out. I need help in a bad way, this truck serial no 5fb18 14115 had no sterring found controller damaged also small circuit board under battery damaged. installed new controller had circuit board repaired checked all other components ie motor contactor .chocke coil etc , switched on sterring operated ok untel it reached end stop then smoke came from circuit board under batt , I think the controller may still be ok looks ok and no burned smell local dealer has no info on this truck says it,s a japanese domestic truck Does any one know what the purpose of this circuit board which has a relay and some resistors , I think it may be a current limit / If i had the value of resistors Imight be able to repair it Does anyone have any exp on this system THANKS james m.

New South Wales, Australia The board with a relay and some large resistors is a anti-kick back circuit. When the key switch is turned off, some early models gave a small kick to the steering column. Fitting of the kick back board stopped this fault occurring. Later 5FB models had the circuitry incorporated into the EPS controller.

Irl, Ireland Maria Thanks for that info on the circuit board for the 5fb; have you any idea what caused the resistors to burn up at full lock and any idea of the value of the resistors. Also how many large resistors should be on the board because there is a marked space for a resistor which is missing hoping for more info thanks James M.

I look at your post yesterday and checked at our shop for a service manual for a 5FB, regreatably there are only manuals for 5FBC and 5FBCUs. I am sure there is not much differance between them and a 5FB. If the 5FB has a small box under the battery (right side) with a circuit board it has the EHPS (electronic power controlled steering pump motor) option. The power steering motor should only run when the steering wheel is turned (has a pressure sensor on the hydraulic steering control).
Inside the box it should look like my very rough drawing

You said that the resistor is over heating? . It is for sensing the steer motor current and has 2 signal wires from it to the circuit board. The circuit board should limit the pulse control to the power FET when the voltage from the shunt resistor reaches a certian level (below 75 amps to the steering motor).

Hello Bruce, how do I buy the manual 5FBC? They took me to a repair 5FBC15 had several problems, the TSM003 replaced, repaired the board but remains SDD F0 error, but I seem to have changed something because doing ESY23 will show the MPS can not find on the contactor. I replaced the steering board of the transistor and the board of control of the steering wheel to no avail, so I need the wiring diagram to find the fault. Thanks if you can help myself. Regards - Franco
